The Elements of Commerce • Buyer: people with money who want to purchase. • Sellers: people who offer goods and services to buyers. • Producers: people who create the products and services that sellers offer to buyers. • place: from where to sell your products (store, shop or catalogue and mailbox) • Marketing: way to get people to come to your place • Way to accept money: it can be by (cash, check or credit cards) to pay for products. • Warranty and way to return the product back
What is e-commerce: • It is simply doing business electronically. In other words, it is buying and selling goods or services through the internet. • Forms of e-commerce: • Business-to-business(B2B): • Selling of goods and services among businesses • Business-to-consumer (B2C): • Selling goods and services directly to consumers. • Consumer-to-consumer (C2C): • Consumer selling directly to other consumer.
Using e-commerce • Select a product from the list offered by this site (amazon.com) • Here, we chose shoes • Then you have to make a specific choice for the shoes you want to buy like (brand, special size, price range, seller ..etc)
Select the size that suits you, and the quantity you want to buy • Then you click “Add to shopping Cart” to continue the process of buying this product.
Enter your e-mail address, then you select between (new customer or returning customer) • Then sign in using secure server. • * If you saw this security alert it means the site has secure connection and you trust it.
At the end you will enter your shipping address, so you can receive the product you have chosen. • After you finish your buying process, you need to enter you account details.
