  1. Editing Practice • The Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4 1776. • 56 men, including Jon Q Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson, signed the document. Fusion II Tuesday, September 24

  2. Goals • Students will continue progress on their process essays. All will have their drafts edited and free of sentence fragments by the end of the period. ________________________________________________________ • Students will be prepared for tomorrow’s quiz over sentences versus fragments. All will get 100% tomorrow. ________________________________________________________ • Students will conference with Mr. Peake about their essay. By the end of tomorrow’s class period, all students will have turned in their final copy of the process essay.

  3. Agenda • D.O.L. • Journal • Writing • Finish typing if needed • Get a minimum of two edits from your pod mates • Fix mistakes and put the finishing touches on essay • Conference with Mr. Peake

  4. Journal 9-24-13 Write advice for teachers. What could they do to get more kids to try their hardest? What types of things should teachers avoid doing? Why? Make sure your answers are thoughtful in reaching the goal of making students understand the topic better.
