Political Spectrum • Is a term used to visualize the varying political beliefs in our country. • Right= conservative, traditional, Republican • Left= progressive, liberal, Democract • Is determined by beliefs in two areas: • Fiscal (financial) policy • Social policy You can be a fiscal conservative and social liberal

Ready to Write? Ask yourself: • Do I have a solid understanding of where I am on the political spectrum? • Do I know why I would place myself there? (What beliefs about specific issues let you know where you are on the spectrum?) • Can I turn that understanding into a thesis statement? • Do I have my evidence (issues)? Once you can answer these you are ready to begin writing you ONE page reflection.
