  1. Welcome 3rd Grade Parents.! .

  2. Introduction • 15 years experience: 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. • 1st grade: I’ve never worked so hard in my life! • 2nd grade: I only had to repeat myself 3 times today! • 3rd grade: I’ve found my calling! The perfect age, great sense of humor, and they still love you.

  3. Classroom Information • Behavior and expectations • Homework/reading chart and discipline chart • Class website • Newsletter via email- make sure to email me with your address if I do not already have one • Volunteering Opportunities- 3 parties: Christmas, to be determined, end of the year • Room MOM, copying papers • Call or email me- stacy.dixon@boerne-isd.net and 830-357-4442

  4. Curriculum • Third grade is going to integrate learning as much as possible. • Computer Lab will be a weekly experience. Parents welcome. • Reinforce curriculum at home with nightly talks (ask “What book did you read today?”). • Read, read, read….Nightly reading is important! Students can read to younger/older brothers and sisters.

  5. Grades • If a student has a failing grade, it must be signed and correct to receive a 70. We encourage papers to be returned by the next day. • Progress reports will come home every three weeks. Please sign and return. • Please check Cub binder every night for graded papers and homework expectations.
