  1. How to improve relation between CPMT and Japanese domestic activity in electronic packaging field, so called JISSO By Kanji Otsuka

  2. You know already ICEP(IMC/IEMT) supported by JIEP(IMAPS)/CPMT, System and VLSI Packaging Workshop of Japan by CPMT • There are many other packaging activities supported by many Japanese organizations such as ICEIC, Oyo-butsuri, JSME, Hyomen-kagaku, SEMI Japan, JPCA and etc. • JIEP that is stronger related with CPMT, does not have enough members (2600). Over 10,000 is counted in Japanese packaging field due to more important for system performance.

  3. Technology center has been shifted from large electronic companies to universities or consortiums, because of Japanese economical situation weaken. So we can find as follow: • ASET, supported by MITI • IMSI, supported by major Japanese electronics companies (11 companies) and Parts and material companies (16) • Universities, assisted by government money • These are some of isolation with CPMT.

  4. Advanced technology is condensed into mobile phone as one example. • Japanese mobile phone has already invested internet system (Web site and Email) with more ｌight and small power. • Advanced 3D packaging, high speed and power save packaging just into production.

  5. My offering idea is to provide Japanese column in CPMT web site. • Japanese IEEE chapter members will fill the column with no CPMT relation activities in Japan. • Introduction of conference papers title, short comment of conference contents • Information of other activities such as ASET, IMSI and Universities

  6. In my concern, I am very very busy in domestic activities. So I give up to continue as a BoG/CPMT for the next. • That is reason why the offering for the future contribution. • Now my activity is as follows: IMSI sub-leader, one branch of ASET project, one branch of NEDO project, a technical assistant of Japan ministry of education and director of Meisei university graduate school etc.
