A Make a fist with your thumb out
B Hand open with fingers together and thumb bent
C Curl fingers and thumb
D Hold index finger up and bend rest to touch thumb
E Bend fingers to touch side of thumb
F Bend index finger to thumb while others are straight
G Index finger and thumb together while other fingers are bent and move hand to side
H Index and middle finger straight while other fingers and thumb are bent and move hand to side
I Pinkie finger straight up while other fingers and thumb are bent
J Make the “I” sign and move hand to make a hook
K Index and middle finger straight up with thumb in front while other fingers are bent
L Index finger and thumb straight out with other fingers bent
M Make a fist with index, middle, and ring fingers bent over thumb
N Make a fist with Index and middle fingers over thumb
O Curl fingers over touching index finger to thumb
P Make the letter “K” then turn hand down and split fingers
Q Index finger and thumb straight out but apart then turn hand upside down
R Index finger crossing over middle finger
S Make a fist with thumb over top of the fist
T Make a fist with thumb under index finger
U Index an middle finger straight up together
V Index and middle finger straight up spread apart
W Index, middle, and ring fingers straight up and all spread apart
X Index finger curled
Y Index,middle, and ring fingers bent over while thumb and pinkie are straight
Z With index finger draw a “Z”
Let’s try some words Hold and rock a baby
Mom Use open hand and put your thumb to your chin
Dad Open hand and put thumb to forehead

Conductive Sensorineural Conductive and Sensorineural • result from damage to the delicate sensory hair cells of the inner ear or the nerves which supply it • caused by diseases or obstructions in the outer or middle ear
Central Mixed Central and Mixed • results from damage or impairment to the nerves or nuclei of the central nervous system • problem occurs in both the outer or middle and the inner ear
