  1. Factors That You Need To Understand About Incremental Shaft Encoder Incremental shaft encoders are devices that help the operator to understand the positional changes of the machine. To get the most accurate result you need to give the encoder a reference composition first. Once the home position is established it will be easier for the sensing device to understand how much positional change has taken place since the operation has started. You can do this by giving the mechanism an external reference point and making it a limit switch.

  2. There are some magnetic encoder Distributors that come with the third channel. in such cases, this third channel gets one pulse in turn. The edge of this index channel offers absolute position reference well within one turn. You can improve the function of the external reference point by improving the movement of additional channels. Having said that, creating the index channel is not a prerequisite for getting the accurate positioning of the device. In fact, the machine builders may try to avoid using the index position as a reference point because you may need new calibration if the motor encoder of your device gets replaced.
