  1. The Three Happy Puppiesand the Greedy Wizard By: Renee A.

  2. Once upon a time there were three happy puppies. Their names were Gracie, Alexis, and Michelle. They always obeyed their parents. Their parents told them that when they became older they could build their own house to live in. Michelle was the oldest, so she built her house first. She built her house out of bones, cardboard, and plastic.

  3. One day while Michelle was baking a cake in her new home, a big, greedy, wizard jumped out and said to Michelle, “Get out of my territory or else I will use my magic wand to turn your home into dirt!” Michelle refused to leave her home, so the wizard turned her house into dirt. So, Michelle went back home to live with her parents. Alexis was the next puppy to build her house. She built her home out of fur, metal, and stickers. Seven days later the same wizard came by and said to Alexis, “Get out of my territory or else I’ll use my powers to turn your house into dirt.” Alexis also refused to leave her home. Once again, the wizard turned Alexis’s house into dirt. So, Alexis went back home to live with her parents.

  4. Last but not least, Gracie was the next puppy to build her house. She built her home seven feet away from her parents home. She built her home out of coal, aluminum, and books. She added sugar so that the wizard couldn’t turn her house into dirt. Gracie sprinkled sugar all over her house.

  5. What Gracie’s sisters forgot is that wizards hate sugar because it turns them super sweet and nice. So whenever a wizard sees sugar it sweetens their life! They become so sweet that it is impossible for them to cause any harm. The wizard came to Gracie's home and said, “Get out of my territory or else I will turn your home into dirt!” Once he saw the sugar he became very sweet and nice.

  6. Gracie’s family shouted for joy when they heard the awesome news! The wizard was not going to cause any harm because he was too sweet! Gracie’s family will never forget to sprinkle their homes with sugar. Now whenever they see a wizard, they always remember the sugar. Gracie, Alexis, and Michelle lived happily ever after!
