Provisional Criteria for Entry • Current St Benedict’s pupils are entitled to a place subject to achieving the relevant GCSE grades • Other Catholic students will then be offered a place subject to achieving the relevant GCSE grades • Non-Catholic students will then be offered a place subject to achieving the relevant GCSE grades • IB entry criteria: 6 x GCSE B grades or above with at least grade B in chosen subjects, plus GCSE grade C in English. Mathematics Higher Level will require grade A, Mathematical Studies requires grade C ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Applicants will be invited to an interview to which parents will also be invited and expected. Advanced Diploma in IT The Level 3 Diploma (Advanced) will total 1080 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) = 2 years = 70 weeks (39 + 31) 16 hours +RE + 1 PE + 2 3.5 A Levels Equivalent

A LEVELSTHE IB DIPLOMA YEAR 12 Sixth Form pupils usually take 4 AS Levels (half an A Level) There are AS exams at the end of year 12 YEAR 13 pupils normally continue 3 of these subjects at A2 Level. There are A2 exams at the end of year 13. AS + A2 = An A Level They then have 3 A Levels and 1 AS Level. Off they go to university or a career. YEAR 12 Sixth Form pupils study 6 subjects and complete the 3 areas at the core of the IB. There are no exams at the end of year 12 YEAR 13 pupils continue to study their 6 subjects and the 3 areas at the core of the IB. All exams are taken at the end of Year 13. They then have an IB Diploma Off they go to university or a career.
