Advice to Christian Leaders. 1 Peter 5. Defenseless. Prone to go astray. Poor eyesight and tend to follow without thinking. Stubborn. Will feed on plants that are unhealthy to them. Goes before them and finds the best pastures. Finds the safest sources of water.

  3. Prone to go astray

  4. Poor eyesight and tend to follow without thinking

  5. Stubborn

  6. Will feed on plants that are unhealthy to them

  7. Goes before them and finds the best pastures

  8. Finds the safest sources of water

  9. Knows when the sheep need to rest

  10. Makes sure there are no hidden dangers or enemies

  11. Anoints their heads with oil to soothe and protect

  12. Uses rod and staff to protect them

  13. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.” Psalm 23:1

  14. Jeremiah 31:10

  15. Ezekiel 34:12-16

  16. Isaiah 53:6

  17. Follow the Good Shepherd • Be faithful (5:1-4) • Be humble (5:5-7) • Be watchful (5:8-11)

  20. Shepherd = Full-time Babysitter

  21. We must be faithful to the leading of the Chief Shepherd.

  23. Cast all your anxiety on Him…

  25. We need to humble ourselves before the Chief Shepherd so He can lift us up.
