Purpose of MAC Plan Update • Update 2006 MAC Plan to be consistent with new DWR standards and guidelines • Re-assess 2006 MAC Plan goals & objectives and projects based on today’s needs • Revise MAC Plan format to improve usability as a regional planning document • Enable the MAC Region to effectively compete for future grant funding opportunities

MAC Plan Goals, Objectives and Performance Measures Goals: The updated MAC Plan contains 11 goals which are defined as “regional commitments” Objectives: The MAC Plan includes 31 objectives which are defined as “actions to achieve goals” Performance Measures: The MAC Plan contains 38 performance measures to “track progress in meeting goals and objectives”
PROJECTS TO IMPLEMENTTHE MAC PLAN • The MAC Plan contains 38 ‘Implementation Projects’ • Project proponents include cities, counties, non-profit organizations and water agencies • Included projects were evaluated and scored using stakeholder RPC-developed plan criteria • Included projects are eligible for Implementation Grant consideration

New MAC Planning Initiative:MokeWISE • UMRWA awarded $878k Prop 84 Planning Grant to undertake Mokelumne Watershed Interregional Sustainability Evaluation (MokeWISE) • Two participating IRWM regions: MAC Region and Eastern San Joaquin Region • Project goal: develop broadly supported Mokelumne River Watershed water resources program that meets the needs of stakeholders in both regions • Two year effort (June 2013 – June 2015)
MAC Region - Round 2 Implementation Grant Application UMRWA Prop 84 Implementation Grant application seeks $2.1M for three projects: • Lake Camanche Village Lateral Replacement • Ponderosa Way Restoration • Camanche Area Regional Water Supply (Phase 1) Two of the projects benefit DACs Tentative award announcements due late this year
