ADAPTATION : Which questions to answer ? • What kind of measures ? • Technical measures : sea dikes, changes in crops,… • Legal measures : laws, … • Institutional arrangements : Agencies, dpts, responsibilities’s distribution, emergency plans, warning systems, … • Financial measures : funds, taxes, penalties, insurance, …

  5. ADAPTATION : Which questions to answer ? • What kind of measures ? • Policy measures : CZMP,… • Educational measures : education, public awareness, … • Research : special research in the field of adaptation, …

ADAPTATION : Which questions to answer ? • What is the efficiency of these measures ? • From examples (drougths, floods, cyclones,…) assess what hapenned • In case of failure, why do the measures failed ? • Take if possible different examples in different times to assess to what extent experience was gained
