Meet the Teachers Ms. Cook • 21st year at GCS • B.A. in English from UConn • M.A. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from College of New Rochelle • Team Leader for K-2 Miss Krzemienski (Miss K) • 2nd year at GCS • B.A. in Human Development/ Family Studies and History from UConn • M.A in Elementary Education from Sacred Heart University • Currently working on classroom certification in the Orton Gillingham approach to reading.
Discipline —What Would Jesus Do? —We have a set of classroom rules that the students thought of themselves that helps create a safe, happy, and positive place for learning. —We model and encourage students to make good choices and praise them often for doing so.
Agenda Books • Comes to school every morning and goes home every night! • Homework is written down • Spelling words are inside
Homework Folders • Corrected work, student mail, and homework • All school/parent communication should be sent through the folder
