The Art of the Protest Sign. People in the 13 British colonies. Protest of the Stamp Act.

You are a citizen of the American colonies. You will be creating a Protest Sign on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper that protests one of the Actions of Parliament and the King. See HJ___ for specifics. Although you will be protesting an historical event, you will be using the contemporary protest sign styles. At the bottom of the poster, or on the back, explain in 3-5 sentences how unalienable rights have been violated.
Can you read these? Could you read them driving by in a car? Just too many words, no matter who said them. 12 words max.
A good variety of protest signs –except for the one in the back.
Your protest sign must: • Be from the viewpoint of a colonist • Protest an Act or Action of the Parliament & King against the colonies • Include a slogan – 12 words max. Rhymes are fine. • Have some sort of illustration or symbol that is pertinent to your sign’s subject • Must be neat, legible, and colored/outlined • Have 3-5 sentences explaining how unalienablerights have been violated by this Act • See www.mrsroybal.weebly.com for protest powerpoint
