  1. HE- RBXs TESTS b.c. time and now!! Pelin Kurt, Irina Shreyber, Vitali Simirnov CERN/Unv.of Cukurova HCAL weekly meeting 16 Aug, 2005

  2. Outline • Motivation • Comparison of the Burn- in LED (Led Emitting Diode) runs with HEM runs • Comparison of the Burn-in PED (pedestal) runs with HEM runs • Conclusion

  3. Motivation • HE- has 18 sectors • Each sectors have only one RBX (Readout Box) which has 4 Readout Module (RM) and one Calibratoin unit • Each RM has two connectors • These connectors has totally 24 channels. Six of these channels are empty

  4. Motivation • RBXs were tested before and after installation on wedges. The goal of the test is to check its functionality.. • Calibration of each RM were done in the fallowing ways -- by using 1.5 mCi radioactive Cobalt 6o source which was sent over the surface of the scintillator. It enables a comparison of the results with the data obtained previously with the same or another Cobalt source. --- RBXes on all sectors have been tested for Pedestal patterns in Normal and Histogramming mode. we have also tested all RBXes using LED signals.

  5. Comparison of led runs(sect1_RM1) Burn–in HEM

  6. Comparison of led runs(sect1_RM1)

  7. Comparison of led runs(sect4_RM1) Thesignals which are in the blue circles come from the same cable

  8. Comparison of led runs(sect4_RM1)

  9. Comparison of led runs(sect10_RM2) Thesignals which are in the blue circles come from the same cable

  10. Ledb/Ledh results Sector 15-16-17 has some problem, we still check it

  11. Comparison of pedestal runs(sect1_RM1)

  12. Comparison of pedestal runs(sect1_RM1)

  13. Comparison of pedestal runs(sect16_RM4) Thesignals which are in the blue circles come from the same cable

  14. Comparison of pedestal runs(sect16_RM4)

  15. Comparison of pedestal runs(sect13_RM4)

  16. Comparison of pedestal runs(sect13_RM4)

  17. Pedb/Pedh results

  18. Conclusion • There are some big Rms values on LED results. So the LED must be normalized on PIN diode Response. But I have not done it yet, I am working about it. I need to check it again after normalization. After then we can reach the exact results of this test. • On PED, the sesults are much better then LED as expected. • Histogram comparison could not have been done since some problems on the HistCompareHEM.C script.
