The name rebirth is appropriate because new ideas spread, technologies were created, and life during the Renaissance became much better! New ideas like “the world is round” developed during the Renaissance, which sparked the Age of Exploration. People really started to question ideas they were told by the church, so the Reformation occurred. New technologies like the printing press were invented, so education spread. People lived more comfortably and lived longer because of more goods, money, trading, and ideas.

Other inventions that also encouraged people to take great risk were the compass and the astrolabe because people could locate how to get to and from places better. Finally, people often take great risk to avoid unsafe places like the Mediterranean Sea when the Crusades were taking place.
