The Unit • What we look at: • Good / bad website design. • Websites created for specific audiences. • Website planning and design. • Using web authoring tools to create a website. • Including advanced features, such as animations, hyperlinks, menus or search boxes / java script. • The dangers of using the internet and publishing information. • Creating a website for a specific audience and purpose.
Objectives • WALT (We Are Learning To): • Understand the basics of good web design. • Know how websites are structured • Understand the importance of audience upon web design. • WILF (What I’m Looking For): • You can identify the good and bad points of specific websites. • You can identify elements on websites which are directed to specific audiences. • You know how a basic website can be structured.

Let’s look at some good and bad sites. • Your task… • Create a folder in your ICT folder called ‘Web Design’ • Open the Web Design Workbook RM Shared BITE ICT KS3 Year 8 Y8 Web Design • Read the level link (so you know what you’re aiming for) • Complete the first page, Begin task 1.
