Funding projects in Troms County • Compensation for higher employment contributions in Tromsø than in the rest of Troms County • Operating from 2007 to 2013, as a part of the regional politics in the EU • About 200 million NOK per year since 2007 • 45 % to Regional Projects • 25 % to Expertise and Research Projects • 30 % to Business-oriented Projects

  4. Application Based Scheme • www.regionalforvaltning.no • R&D Based Economic Development in june • 20 applications, 108 million NOK • 20 million NOK available • Competense Centre in and for North in october • 10 applications, 53 million • 28 million NOK available

  5. Beyond 2013? • Continuation of the notified scheme conserning regionally differentiated social security contributions • Continuation of the national compensation
