  30. 台灣歷史的獨特性 • 傳說李鴻章曾上書慈禧太后:「台灣乃蠻荒漳癘之區，蠻荒之島，鳥不語，花不香，山不清，水不秀，島上化外之民，男無情，女無義，棄之不足惜。 」 • 1897年春，總督乃木希典利用回國之機，建議將台灣賣給法國。 1884年法國曾兩次進犯台灣，但都未能得逞。得知日本想出售台灣的消息後，雙方的外交官員經過討價還價，但初步確定台灣的售價為1500萬法郎。 • 歐洲國家的企圖經營/ 清朝的經營/ 日本的殖民/ 與中國千絲萬縷的關係
