  1. Optional trips Hunedoara First stop is at Memorial home Aurel Vlaicu (1882-1913).The Romanian made history in aeronautics as an inventive plane constructor and an aviation pioneer. With the construction of the two original types of planes he managed to gather the admiration of his contemporaries and prove the world the Romanian extraordinary power of creation. The Simeria Dendrologic Park, considered an national monument in park’s history, was established in the 18’th Century. You can observe species from the Orient and North America. Because of it’s beauty and value, the park is now, “monument of nature”. The wisent reservation in Hateg awaits for us to discover the heaviest European animal. The wisent can reach up to 3 m tall and weight 920 kg!! In the Romanian symbolist culture the Carpathian wisent, , is a symbol often found in legends and popular traditions. For this patriotic reason a lot of reservation animals have names beginning with RO: Rozina, Romanita, Romica…Ronaldo! 

  2. Our jurney continues with the fostancient capital of Dacia, Sarmisegetusa! Located in a clearing surrounded by a magnificent landscape, the Prislop Monastery is one of the most important orthodox churches in Transylvania. It is said that Lady Zamfira came to Prislop very ill and cured with water from the healing spring from the monastery’s yard. Here is also the grave of father Arsenie Boca. . At the Densus church, the oldest Romanian church built on an ancient atheist temple, you will feel admiration and surprise. Inside you can admire a fresco dated in the time of Mircea the Old, picturing Jesus dressed in Romanian clothes. The uniqueness of this church is the construction materials: river gravel, tiles, funerary stones, columns, even miniature statues or the sculpture of a lion’s face, all having been collected by the builders from Sarmisegetusa nearby.

  4. CORVINILOR Castle will be the main attraction of the trip. It is among the most important monuments of feudal gothic art in Europe and was built in 15’th Century on an old Roman caestrum. While admiring the high towers, in our way to the inner courtyard, we enter the castle and visit one at a time the Knight’s Hall, Dietei Hall, Cristal Hall, Flags Hall and Haunting Hall with a display of the trophies. The stone, and the displayed objects, the architecture make us think of the medieval ages, with knights in armors fighting in the turners or fought to defend the citadel with swords on horses.   5. SIBIU Sibiu, European Cultural Capital of 2007 In Sibiu will visit main square, and Brukental museum. The city itself is a grand museum and you will be impressed by the charm and the touristic potential of this ancient city in Transylvania. From Dumbrava Sibiului, the open air museum of popular tradition (established in 1811), you will gather pleasant memories. We offer here a sensational journey in time around the Romanian history, full of creativity and beauty of our ancestors. And now how about a real bath in Ocna Sibiului – the sea of Transylvania?? 11 salted lakes and a few fresh water lakes are waiting for visitors. Among them is the geological reservation ‘’Lake with no bottom’’. Com to sunbathe, bathe in salty water, sun, mud ……music and fun!!!

Monastery and Keys of Ramet (1377) Monastery of Ramet is one of the oldest monk’s settlement in Transylvania ( 9th - 12th Century) The monastery had been through some tough times, fire, war, water destroyed it over the years, between 1926- 1930 it was covered in mud for 1,6 meters after a flood of Plesa river. In 1988 the monastery was saved, raised above the ground with 2 meters. The area is amazing, and you can hike from the church to Trascau mountains, in the Rametului Keys to observe the traditional homes of the villagers and to enjoy the beauty of nature.

  7. CLUJ SALINE OF TURDA The saline of Turda was built in Roman times, and today is the most modern ecological balneal resorts in Romania. The first record of the saline was in the year 1271. In the Rudolf Minewe find now aconcert hall of 200 seats, heated, a sport field, bowling, miniature golf, a panorama wheelwhich taked the visitors close to the salt formations as well as an elevator for the disabled persons.In Terezia Minewas built a deck on the lake, with boats for rides, as well as a special walking area. After we enjoy all the fun ( and treat our respiratory system) we will visit the last attractions:Ghizela Mine and Franz Josef Gallery.
