  3. 2. Standard II: Data Collection • • The nurse continuously collects data thatare comprehensive, accurate &systematic.• Effective interviewing, behavioralobservation, physical & mental healthassessment enable the nurse to reachsound conclusions & plan appropriateintervention with the client

Standard III: Diagnosis • • The nurse utilize nursing diagnosis &standard classification of mental disordersto express conclusions supported byrecorded assessment data & currentscientific premises.• nursing’s logical basis for providing carerests on the reorganization &identification of those actual or potentialhealth problems that are within the scopeof nursing practice.

  5. 4. Standard IV: • Planning• The nurse develops a nursing careplan with specific goals &interventions delineating nursingactions unique to each client’s needs.• The nursing care plan is used to guidetherapeutic intervention & effectiveachieve the desired outcomes

  7. 6. Standard VI • : Evaluation• The nurse evaluation client responsesto nursing actions in order to revisethe database, nursing diagnosis &nursing care plan.

  10.  9. Standard IX: • InterdisciplinaryCollaboration• The nurse collaborates with otherhealth care providers in assessing,planning, implementing &evaluating programs & other mentalhealth activities.

Standard X: • Utilization of CommunityHealth System• The nurse participates with othermembers of the community in assessing,planning, implementing & evaluatingmental health services & communitysystems that include the promotion ofthe broad continuum of primary,secondary & tertiary prevention ofmental illness

  12. 11. Standard XI: Research • • The nurse contributes to nursing &the mental health field throughinterventions in theory & practice &participation in research
