Water and Climate Conditions in Utah – June 2012. Year to date precipitation – Doesn’t look too bad… 60% to 80% of average. As of June 17 – 64 days without 0.1 inch of rain in southern Utah. About a month everywhere else… 0.1 inch is bo - diddly -squat! Means nothing. OUCH!.

0.5 inches of rain can actually do some small things.. Alfalfa needs about 1/3 to ½ and inch per day for maximum growth. This pattern takes in all but northern Utah… over 2 months without rain that can do something…
2 inch soil moisture All of Utah is phenomenally dry…
