How to prepare for the Tornado • Have emergency kit put together including flashlight, first aid kit, food and water.
How to prepare for the Tornado • Look for danger signs like • dark, greenish sky • large hail • large, dark, low-lying cloud • loud roar, like a freight train
How to stay safe during the tornado if you are inside. • Go to the basement, cellar, or room in the middle of your house. • Stay away from windows and doors. • Protect your head with your arms or a blanket. Get to the Basement
How to stay safe during the tornado if you are outside. • Stay or get into a car or truck. Make sure you buckle your seat belt. • If no car or truck is not available then find a ditch to lay flat in or under a highway overpass.
What to do after the tornado is over • Make sure you have on shoes or boots. • Do not touch and power lines that are down. • Text family and friends to let them know you are OK.
