Math Grade 5– 2009-2010 vs. 2012-2013 The city park is 9 3/10 miles from Roland Elementary School. The city library is 3 3/10 miles from the same school. So what does this mean? • NYS changed the cut scores and scores across the State plummeted! • Our 5th grade did very well in comparison to other schools. • Increase in students identified as in need of Academic Support Services (AIS). • ELA • MATH
The Facts on the Facts! • Students should master addition and subtraction facts by the end of 2ndgrade. • Students should master Multiplication and division facts by the end of 3rd grade. • We will integrate our Envisions Math series with the State provided MODULES.
