Context • Legislative language requires EEC to report on a number of items including Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK), Mental Health initiatives and the Workforce Development System • This year’s report seeks to highlight the efforts of the Department to improve its operations in a number of areas over the past year. • It also will provide highlights of the many state and federally funded programs that we oversee or collaborate on. • The report will provide anupdateon how EEC has made progress towards meeting the Board’s Five Strategic Directions
