Independent Clause (IC)= Complete sentence The sentence contains a S + V + Complete thought/idea Classes are conducted every Saturday throughout the semester. Dependent Clause (DC)= Incomplete sentence The sentence contains a S + V but the thought/idea is incomplete When they opened the front door.
