As a librarian, you can act as a bullying awareness advocate. Use this simple, four step formula to reach out to the youth of your community!

A few key things to remember when using this program.. Don’t be too pushy, take a welcoming position. Respect the individual’s privacy when handling LGBT community membersand all students involved in bullying. Avoid using the word ‘bullying’...unless parenting class. Put a positive spin on existing operations: include bullying awareness..for example team exercise before game board night. Be inclusive not exclusive to attract a wider market. And encourage diversity acceptance. Diversity is the key.
