  8. GOALS KCP • CREATE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR LOCAL LEGISLATORS TO EDUCATE THEM REGARDING TOPICS OF OUR MUTUAL INTEREST • “IN THE LONG RUN, LEGISLATIVE BATTLES ARE WON NOT IN THE HALLS OF THE LEGISLATURE BUT IN THE COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE STATE” CLARENCE DARROW

  9. KCP AT WORK • WORKING WITH OUR TEAM LEADERS TO MEET WITH LEGISLATORS REGARDING “HOT” TOPICS WITH TALKING POINTS AND FACT SHEETS AS RESOURCE GUIDES • IE: MEETING DURING SESSION WITH MEMBERS PLI, AMENDMENTS
