  12. AIP and ELD/Migrant Ed. classes Over half of our AIP students are ELD/Migrant Ed. students. Avenues • Migrant Ed. • Caswell • Walter White • Don Pedro • Westport • Sinclear

  13. The First Day/Week-Pg. 14 • The first day of 2nd – 6th grade AIP will be September 10th. Please check in your Teacher Handbook for site start time. • Students gather in cafeteria for an assembly led by the principal. • Afterwards the AIP students will be lined up according to grade level and be divided up into classes. • Extra help with splitting up classes will be available at each site.

Pacing Calendars-SeePgs. 17-23 • CORE: In your curriculum crates. • ELA has been planned out through January. • Math instruction will begin Mid-January • ELD/Migrant Ed.: AVENUES CURRICULUM • First Unit Available in your Supply Box. • Future units will be available through ASES Lead Rec. Leaders1 week prior to start. • If a combination class: check out and teach the higher of the two grade levels. • DESTINY FORM-NON CUSD TEACHERS ONLY – To be able to check out Avenues material for ELD/Migrant, fill out the CUSD library form for input into ‘Destiny’. • ½ Hour window before AIP starts on the 1st day of AIP, Sept. 10th, to check out Avenues material (email Tera if any issues).

  16. Obtaining a Substitute-Pg. 10 Employee that works at one site: Report your absence into AESOP. Here are the steps to enter your absence into AESOP: 1. Enter start and end date of absence 2. Select your absence reason 3. Select if a sub is required 4. Select start and end times of absence Employee that works at two sites: 1. Enter start and end date of absence 2. Select your first site that you work at 3. Select your absence reason 4. Select if a sub is required 5. Select start and end times of absence If you are an employee that works at two sites enter your sites and custom hours in the section titled “notes to the substitute”. The AESOP system will find a sub for you or… If you have already pre-arranged a substitute verbally with someone, then you need to do 2 things: 1. Report your absence into AESOP. Select “No Sub Required.” 2. Call or email Kassandra Baker in the Personnel Department 556-1500 ext. 1090 or kbaker@ceres.k12.ca.us. Tell her the name of the person who you pre-arranged to sub for you. Absences must be reported at least ONE HOUR before your day starts. Call Kassi Baker to obtain a substitute in an emergency.

  17. 13-14 Student Attendance Incentive • Attendance = greater academic performance • Attendance Incentives- The plan is to Reward the AIP classes who have perfect attendance for a ONE month period. (Each site will have one winner) • Starting in October the class with the highest attendance rate will be rewarded with a movie and popcorn on the first Thursday of the following month. • Marilyn will be providing the list of the winning classes each month • ASES will be providing the popcorn and movie reward (rewards will be held inside the AIP classroom.)

CUSD REGULAR DAY TEACHERS • Turn in any necessary forms into the ‘In’ basket located on the sign in table. • Please take your material. • We have helpers to carry the Curriculum Crates and/or Supply Boxes out if you wish to “drive through”. • If you don’t take the material it will be delivered to the sites next week. • In the interest of time. We will be conducting the Mandated Reporting while you take your material. • If you have questions our Lead Teachers will be OUTSIDE to answer them.
