General theme:FOCUS ON THE SMALLEST..... UNDERSTAND THE GLOBAL All areas of research are welcome. Special aim: Bring to the Nanno community the i) Plankton biological and ecological scientific community (following the CODENET initiative); ii) Physical oceanography scientific community.
Support (so far ...): FCT – Foundation for Science and Tecnology of the Ministry of Science of Portugal; Lisbon Town Hall; University of Lisbon. Hidrographic Institute Portuguese Fisheries Institute Logistics: Mainly “home made” (keep costs low)

Field trips to dinosaur track sites (e.g. Galinha quarry, Middle Jurassic limestones)
some of which related to local religious traditions… (e.g. Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous sections of Espichel Cape, ~40 km south of Lisbon)
to some of the Jurassic most important sections (Peniche, Coimbra, Cabo Mondego)…
… and Neogene sections around Lisbon (Peninsula de Arrábida).

SINTRA (Unesco World Heritage village) Cultural and turistic excursions, by day....
LISBOA (e.g. Down Town square of Rossio) and night life (by night, obviously ....)
