  11. Which Test Should I Take? • SAT • Aptitude test, measures critical thinking, problem-solving skills needed for college. • Perfect Score: 2400 • Penalty for wrong answers? YES • Question Types: Multiple Choice, grid-ins, written essay • Length: 3hrs 45 minutes • Vocabulary emphasis • Does not include science or trigonometry

  12. Which Test Should I Take? • ACT • Curriculum based test, directly related to what students have learned in school. • Perfect Score: 36 • Penalty for wrong answers? NO • Question Type: Multiple Choice, optional essay • Length: 2 hrs, 55 minutes + 30 minute optional essay • Vocabulary deemphasized • Includes science and trigonometry

  13. SAT SUBJECT TESTS • What are Subject Tests? • One hour in length. • Can take up to three on a test date. • Required by more selective colleges.
