The Little G irl W ith T he “Bum T icker ”.
E N D
The Little Girl With The “Bum Ticker” This is 6yr old Zoe Tanner, a first grader at First Baptist Christian School in Elyria. When Zoe was 6 weeks old she suffered congestive heart failure due a virus. She seemed to get better, was taken off her medications and should have been released from her cardiologist’s care in April of 2008. She was a prima ballerina in training and loved to play soccer. She was your average little girl. Then in October 2007 she suffered congestive heart failure once again. Apparently the damage she suffered as a baby was more severe than anyone realized. She was put back on her medications and started frequent trips back to the cardiologist. This time her prognosis wasn’t so good. She has cardiomyapathy (the left side of her heart is enlarged) with severe mitral valve regurgitation. Her heart is damaged beyond repair and now, this little girl is in need of a new one. Currently, she waits for her “new ticker” at the Cleveland Clinic. Please come join us for a Benefit Dinner/Silent Auction to help Zoe get her heart. All proceeds from the event go to the Zoe Tanner Benevolent Fund at First Merit Bank. Where: New Russia Township Hall 46268 Butternut Ridge Rd.
