SALIENT FEATURES OF JKC • JKC is a major IT HRD initiative started in 2005 to harness the vast potential available for the employment under IT/ITES sector. • JKC is collaborative effort of Govt – Industry& Academia • 86 JKCs in 224 Colleges with 40 Industry Partners • Final year Students are trained in spoken english, communication skills, domain skills and other employable skills for a period of 12 • months in engineering & degree colleges to improve their employability in IT/ITES companies • Curriculum continuously revised with inputs from industry so as to meet the manpower requirements of the companies. • So far 3147 students trained by JKCs have been recruited by IT companies.
