EVault’s Electronic Vaulting Process • Recovery Options: • individual files or entire data image • via IP directly to affected server • save data image to tape, then hand-deliver • Backing Up EVault’s software agent: • installs on each server to be protected • automatically “wakes up” during off-peak hours • retrieves daily block-level file changes from the server • compresses and encrypts those changes, then • transfers them over IP to a secure data center
