Metaphor and Simile • Many writers use metaphor and simile to create EVEN MORE imagery in their writing
Metaphor • Metaphor • A comparison between two unrelated things usually using IS or ARE or A.
Metaphor • A comparison between two unlike things usually using IS or ARE or A. • You are my sunshine my only sunshine. • Are you REALLY the SUN? No. But you make me happy. You bring me brightness. • YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE is a metaphor.
