INtroduction • Most institutions moving from traditional teaching and learning to integrate technology into their teaching and learning. • The degree of implementing technology depends on the readiness of institutions. • College of Internet Distance Education, Assumption University has offered self-contained e-Learning instruction since 2006.

  3. Overview of e-Learning • e-Learning involves the use of a computer or an electronic device to provide training, education or learning materials (Stockley, 2003). • Sloan Consortium stated that the e-Learning course needs to have most or all of the content delivered online with little or no face-to-face meetings. • Some benefits of e-Learning include: • degree awarded is equivalent to those from the traditional learning. • flexible choice of degree to be chosen from. • study can be from any place at students’ paces. • save traveling time and cost. • study without sacrificing other responsibilities. • earning degree from abroad without leaving the home country.

  4. Overview of e-Learning • Learners have an opportunity to broaden knowledge of their own. • e-Learning enhances the rich of content and knowledge. • e-Learning promotes collaborative work among learners. • Learners could be promoted to become active and motivated learners.

Research Questions • What are the levels of perception towards CIDE students and alumni regarding attitude towards e-Learning at CIDE? • What are the levels of perceptions towards CIDE students and alumni regarding quality of curriculum provided at CIDE? • What are the levels of perceptions towards CIDE students and alumni regarding their satisfaction towards CIDE?

  6. research objectives • To determine the level of perceptions towards CIDE students and alumni regarding attitude towards e-Learning at CIDE • To determine the level of perceptions towards CIDE students and alumni regarding quality of curriculum towards e-Learning at CIDE • To determine the level of perceptions towards CIDE students and alumni regarding satisfaction towards e-Learning at CIDE

  7. Significance • Benefit CIDE to....... • improve its curriculum, • e-Learning teaching and learning processes • Benefit others to....... • serve as guideline in designing and creating an effective e-Learning courses

Variables: Attitude • Attitude towards e-Learning • Attitude: an individual’s favorable or unfavorable evaluation of an object, aspect, or else (Fishbein & Ajzen, 1975). • A student’s perception toward their judgment on e-Learning that they have had experiences at the institution. • Its measurement consists of 14 items, which related to the ability to apply knowledge for career, career advancement, communication skills, computer skills, and problem solving skills.

Variables: Quality of curriculum • Quality of curriculum • Curriculum: materials that students will interact and follow to achieve the identified educational outcomes (Ebert II, Ebert, & Bentley, 2011). • It shapes behavior of individual’s perceptions and interpretations of the environment to reinforce the learning objectives and to facilitate the evaluation procedures. • Its measurement relates to the acceptance by others domestically and internationally after graduation, demand of market, and promoting certain skills aligned with the institution identity.

Variables: Satisfaction • Satisfaction • A feeling of a person who has experience or an outcome that fulfill his/her expectation (Kotler & Clarke, 1987). • Satisfaction covers issues of students’ perceptions and experiences during their study time at the institution (Carey, Cambiano, and De Vore, 2002). • Its measurement includes quality of instruction, interaction among students to students/students to instructors/students to staff, and overall of courseware provided.

Methodology • Sample --> students and alumni of CIDE (n=69) • Sampling plan --> convenience sampling technique • Instrument --> self-administered questionnaire with 5 levels Likert scale • All items got Cronbach’s alpha values higher than 0.7, therefore, it ensures the reliable of the questionnaire.

  12. findings • Demographic information • Majority works as private company employees • Monthly income is approximately 30,001-40,000 Baht

  13. findings • Descriptive statistics • Attitude (M=3.89) = Agree level • Quality of curriculum (M=4.00) = Agree level • Satisfaction (M=4.01) = Agree level

  14. discussion • The lowest mean score under Attitude construct is “Improved my ability to work cooperatively in groups” • The lowest mean score of Quality of curriculum is “Outstanding quality when compare with other academic institution” • The lowest mean score of Satisfaction is “The interaction with other students”

  15. Conclusion • Respondents both current students and alumni satisfy and have good attitude towards learning at CIDE.
