Features IPv4 and IPv6 - fully integrated into the Operating System. High Connection Capacity - 64bit support. Load Sharing - ClusterXL and Interface bonding. High Availability - ClusterXL, VRRP, Interface bonding. Dynamic and Multicast Routing - BGP, OSPF, RIP, and PIM-SM, PIM-DM, IGMP. Easy to use Command Line Interface - Commands are structured using the same syntactic rules. An enhanced help system and auto-completion further simplifies user operation. Role Based Administration - Enables Gaia administrators to create different roles. Administrators can allow users to access features by adding those functions to the user's role definition. Each role can include a combination of administrative (read/write) access to some features, monitoring (read-only) access to other features, and no access to other features. First Time Login through Console • First time login through console using defualt username and password of admin/admin. • Although lot of prominent features donot work liksysconfig and cpconfig till them time you one time configure it using Web UI .As given in the snapshot below .
Accessing Web UI for First Time • Connect to Management port of your Checkpoint appliance .Default IP add of your Checkpoint Appliance management port is 192.168.1.1 and default access is https on port 443 .If you are using old OS of Secure Platform then use port default port of 4434 for https .This document is pertaining to GAIA on smart appliance and OS is R75.40 . • Configure your PC or Laptop to same subnet in order to access management interface .
After Login through Default username/password of admin/admin
You will be asked to change the default password to something more secure
