  1. Independent jewellers Jacobs the jewellers has beaten its fundraising target of £70,000, raising over £77,500 for the Royal Berkshire Hospital, specifically the Berkshire Cancer Centre. During 2018, Jacobs is celebrating its 70th year-long anniversary raising funds as a way of giving back to the Reading community. The ambitious goal is to raise funds for the purchase of Surface Guided Radiotherapy Machine, which forms part of cancer treatment.
