Mae C. Jemison • Mae C. Jemison was born on October 17, 1956 • She was the first African American to go to space. She was also , a doctor , a surgeon and she has practiced engineering skills witch makes her a good astronaut. • Mae C. Jemison is still alive today. She is a perfect roll model for little girls . Aaron Douglas • Born May 26, 1899 • He was an artist for many years. Aaron was called the father of African American art. He taught in a Kansas school then taught with Winold Reiss because Winold was inspired by his art. • Aaron Douglas died in 1979. Google.com
Malcom X • Birth date:1925 • Why this person is important: He thought the opposite off Martin Luther King Jr. • His dad died when he was six years old • He lived in a foster house • He got assassinated • He died in1965
Rosa Parks • Birth date:Febuary4,1913 • Why this person is important: She did not give up her seat to a white man. • She was black American. • Mrs. Parks and her husband Raymond moved to Alabama. • She died on October 24, 2005 at the age of 94 Enchantedlearning.com
