Abraham Lincoln Tom Walker
Biography Abraham Lincoln was born February 12th 1809 and died April 15th, 1865 at age 56. He was voted into office March 4, 1861 and left office March 3, 1865. He is the second child of Thomas and Nancy Lincoln. President Lincoln married Mary Todd, and had four children named; Robert, Edward, William, Tad. President Lincoln was preceded by James Buchanan and succeeded by Andrew Johnson.

President Lincoln-A hero • He prevented the South from seceding from the United States which caused The Civil War. • He signed the Homestead Act which allowed settlers have 165 acres if they agreed to farm for five years. • He issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, abolishing slavery in states that rebelled against the United States.
