Facts • grows to 10-20m tall • Leaves are spirally arranged, dark green in summer, vividly red in fall • produces fruit that has small woody capsules • produces honey that the bees love to eat • can be used for tool handles, sliding bearings for wheels, and butter paddles.
The best thing about our tree was that there was a stump next to it to sit on, and it was really nice to get to go outside for awhile each day.
How our tree had changed • Our tree’s leaves had fallen, and had changed colors. There were no signs of animals
