  2. What is a fire? • A forest fire is a natural disaster which can burn down forests . • It can harm animals that live there. • It can harm people who live near forests. • It happens when it is hot and dry. • Fire can crawl, crown and jump.

  3. How can we be prepared? • Have smoke alarms. • Have a hose. • Store wood away from the house. • Clean leaves from the roof and gutters.

  4. What can we do to stop fires? • Don’t play with litter or matches. • Don’t smoke. • Light no fires outside without permission.

  5. What fires can burn? . Paper, wood, plastic, wool , a body, cardboard ,but not metal.
