  5. Knowing “who you are” is a critical part of the career planning process. Being aware of the activities you like to do as well as the activities you don’t like to do can help you decide what careers would best fit you. Awareness of your abilities, what you can do well, will help you narrow down your career choices to those occupations that you will be able to do. Also, most people enjoy working in jobs they think are important.
