  2. MykolaAmosov, (December 6, 1913, Cherepovets, Russia– December 12, 2002, Kiev, Ukraine) was a Ukrainian doctor, heart surgeon, inventor, best-selling author, known for his inventions of several surgical procedures for treating heart defects.

  3. Nikolai Amosov is the author of more than 400 scientific publications including 19 monographs. Some monographs reprinted in the U.S., Japan, Germany and Bulgaria. • His novel "The thoughts and heart", "Notes from the Future", "PPG-2266", "The Book of Happiness and misery"; have been repeatedly published in this country and abroad

  4. He was a talented, bright, versatile man, a brilliant surgeon, scientist and public figure. He never remained indifferent to the problems of the state, nation and individual. The memory of Academician Amosov will live forever in the hearts of his students, staff, many thousands of patients and all of those fortunate enough to meet this remarkable man.
