It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than then appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company………a church……a home. But far more wonderful it is, to see what smiles can do; You smile at one, he smiles at you, and so one smile makes two. He smiles at some one since you smiled, and then that one smiles back; And that one smiles, until in truth, you fail in keeping track. INFLUENCER I : INTEGRITY - Moral uprightness, Honesty, Wholeness, Morality and Purity. • A survey carried out in America revealed 71% of leadership problem was integrity. • Never ever betray trust of the follower. • Practice VISION statement, which has direct influence on Integrity. Our VISION has four factors which are Integrity, Reliability, Pro-activity and Transparency.

N : NURTURE • It is caring for people. • Money makes the assets but people make money. • Commitment to the people to whom you lead. • Preferably a two way traffic - bondage of trust between leader and follower to be established. • We cannot nurture people if we have Fear of people Dislike people Contempt people.

  32. L : LISTEN • Listen to people. Ladder of listening can be achieved by L : LOOK AT THE SPEAKER. A : ASK QUESTIONS TO CLARIFY DOUBTS. D : DON’T INTERRUPT. D : DON’T CHANGE THE SUBJECT. E : CHECK THE EMOTIONS. R : RESPONSIVE LISTENING. • Leaders generally have the tendency to steal the EGO - FOOD, which ultimately detach the followers from him and allows him to coil - in.

  33. U : UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE • We should not fear from the people and we should shun selfishness. With this we will have a long lasting relationship. • Followers wants GENIUNESS. NON POSSIVENESS (NON-EGOIST). ACCEPT PEOPLE AS THEY ARE. EMPATHY.

  34. E : ENLARGES PEOPLE • If one has to go from one level to another he has to enlarge KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE ,SKILL and HABIT. (KASH). • Level of the organization can be judged by the ENLARGEMENT of the workforce, not in $.

  40. 12 CAUSES OF LEADERSHIP FAILURES • Inability to organize details. • Unwillingness to do what they would ask others to do. • Expectations of reward for what they know rather than what they do (first deserve than desire). • Fear of competition from others. • Lack of creative thinking. • The “ I” syndrome (claiming all achievements). • Over - indulgence. • Disloyalty. • Emphasis on “Authority of Leadership”. • Emphasis on title. • Lack of understanding of the destructive effects of negative environment. • Lack of common sense.
