  1. News Reviews Three astronauts to blast off on China’s longest space mission Rachel Wong Jing Wen (12) June 13, 2013

  2. Information • Three chinese astronauts, one of them a woman, will blast off on the 11th June 2013 on China’s longest space mission • The latest step towards the country’s goal of setting up a space station by 2020. • Ms Wang Yaping, Nie Haisheng and Zhang Xiaoguang would be taking Shenzhou X to the space for a record of 15 Days.

  3. About the Mission • They will go through two docking tests– One automatic and one manual with Tiangong 1. • Space docking involves two vessels coming together smoothly at the speed at speed of 28,000km/h. • Shenzhou x will be launched from at remote site in the Western Gobi desert on 11th June 2013 at 5.38pm, if the weather permits.

  4. Information for each individual • All are air force pilots. • Wang Yaping,33,– will be China’s second female astronauts • Nie Haisheng,48,– Team leader, piloted Shenzhou VI which orbited the Earth 76 times in 2005 • Zhang Xiaoguang– Rookie and air force pilot.

  5. My thoughts I feel that these people are very brave. They will be apart from their families and knows that in this mission, anything might go wrong which might allow them to lose their lives. They have taken their will and are ready to face any challenges. Their family members are ready and have faced the fact that they might not return.
