  1. God’s Plan for Saving Man For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. (Titus 2:11) Men teach many conflicting ideas about salvation. God’s plan is simple and clearly reveled in the New Testament.

Why We Need A Plan • Because man is a sinner (Rom. 3:23; 1 Jn. 3:4) • Because sin leads to death (Rom. 6:23) • Because goodness alone does not save (Acts 10:2; 11:14) • Because man must do what the Lord commands (Matt. 7:21; Heb. 5:9; Acts 9:6) • Accept consequences of our choice (2 Thess. 1:9)

  3. Divine Side in Salvation • God sent His Son (Jn. 3:16) • God bestowed His grace (Eph. 2:8-9) • Jesus shed his blood (Eph. 1:7; Lk. 19:10) • The Holy Spirit revealed God’s will to man (Eph. 3:3-5; Rom. 1:16-17) • God has done His part and He requires that man do his part.

  4. Human Side in Salvation • Hear the gospel (Matt. 17:5; Rom. 10:17) • Faith in Christ (Jn. 8:24; Jas. 2:24) • Repentance of sins (Acts 17:30; Mt. 21:28-31) • Confess Christ before men (Matt. 10:32; Rom. 10:9) • Baptism (Mk. 16:16; 1 Pet. 3:21) • Acts 22:16; 2:38; Rom. 6:3-4; Acts 8:36-39; Gal. 3:27) • Be faithful (Acts 2:47; Rev. 2:10; 1 Cor. 15:58)
