Conclusion contraceptive discontinuation in Indonesia influenced socio-economic and demographic, programmatic, contraceptive knowledge, inter-spousal communication, and women’s autonomy factors. family planning messages through mass media have positive effect on women’s behavior messages delivery family planning messages delivery through direct communication found to be effective in reducing contraceptive discontinuation regular discussion family planning with husband could reduce contraceptive discontinuation.
Conclusion Increasing women empowerment will be significant to increase women’s ability and confidentiality to conduct discussion with their husband husbands need to be persuaded to involve in family planning decision making such as decision making on contraceptive choice as large proportion of women used other sources as their contraceptives source, greater effort are need to persuade these women to choose more trusted sources of contraceptives
