  2. This is a wide and wonderful world filled with wonderful creatures, including us!

  3. Catholic Social Teaching As Catholics, we believe every human deserves kindness and respect. We are commanded by Jesus to “Love One Another As I Love You.”

  4. All humans need clean water to stay healthy and live full lives. This isn’t always easy, especially for people who live in dry desert places, like Africa.

  5. Did You Know? • Around the world, over 800 million people do not have clean water to drink • In some places, women spend 3 -5 hours carrying and fetching water. • Lack of water often keeps children, especially girls, from attending school.

  6. Catholic Relief Services One way we can help people who need water is by raising money for organizations like Catholic Relief Services (CRS). CRS helps communities dig new wells and teaches them how to keep their water clean.

  7. We Can Make a Difference! Organizations like CRS are important because they help us make our world a healthier and safer place.

  8. Talk About It • How do you show respect and care to others in your community? • Why is it so important to wash your hands with soap?
