6. Objectives of C2 Awards • Catalyze meaningful collaboration between health researchersand research user partnersto share expertise and knowledge with each other. These collaborations increase the likelihood that research findings will be relevant to the users. • Support co-development of research processes and activities that addresses one or more of the BC health system priority areas*. • Build capacity in KT experience and skills for research or health professional trainees. • *see next slide

Examples of Supported Research Activities – C2 • Developing research questionsor plansthat could form the basis of a grant application. • Developing an integrated KT plan as part of a research project or program. • Developing a plan to implement research evidence and/or study the implementation of research evidence. • Stakeholder engagement (e.g. workshop or symposium) regarding health research needs, gaps, and opportunities, priority policy issues and/or priority research questions.

Objectives of Reach Awards • Support researcher and research user partners to co-develop events, activities, or toolsto share research findings. • Disseminate research evidence beyond the normal peer group of the researcher co-lead. • Build capacity in KT experience and skills for research or health professional trainees.

Examples of Supported Activities • Development of new educational materials or sessions • Creation of multiple media platforms and social marketing • Development and implementation of products or tools that result from health research • Development of media releases or outreach campaigns • Creation of relevant networks and/or presentations to relevant networks • Engagement with champions/key opinion leaders • Communication of evidence to health practitioners • Activities/events that engage patientsto improve their knowledge and health behavior • Organization of scientific meetings, conferences, symposia, etc. • The Reach funds may not be used for pilot research studies or research operating funds (primary research or primary data collection including surveys)
